How to use Oxycodone
This medicine is taken orally with water and should be taken at the same time as directed. You can take it before or after meals. If it upsets your stomach, then you take it with food. Oxycodone should only be used if other pain relief methods are not effective in controlling pain or you are unable to take them (for example, because of side effects). It is primarily indicated for adults, although children 11 years of age and older may be given lower doses. Side effects are more likely to occur in infants, young children, and the elderly.

headache, constipation, feeling sick (nausea), feeling sleepy (drowsiness), dizziness, tiredness, stomach pain, vomiting, itching, red eyes, or flushing.

Oxycodone can be habit-forming. Take Oxycodone exactly as directed. Do not take it in larger amounts, more frequently, or in a different way than your doctor tells you to. While taking Oxycodone, discuss your pain treatment goals, duration of treatment, and any pain management methods with your health care provider. Tell your doctor if you or anyone in your family drinks or has ever drunk too much alcohol, uses or has ever used street drugs, uses or has ever used prescription drugs, takes opiates, or has or has ever had depression or any other mental illness.
