An erstwhile subsidiary of a British company, Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., was established in India in 1913 to undertake the fabrication of structural steel works. The company got nationalized in 1976 and acquired the status of Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways. Currently headed by Mr. Yatish Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director, the company got conferred Miniratna- I status in 2022 for its stellar financial performance and exceptional deliveries.
