I shot the footage for this video over a period of abt 2-3 months & 20 rides FRONT SEAT POV and some BACK SEAT reverse views & late night footage are also included. This video is best viewed in 720p or 1080p HD with good sound.
PLEASE NOTE: Before I published this video I sourced the information I have used directly from Luna Park and from the Luna Park website (2012). However, I have recently learned that Melbourne's SCENIC RAILWAY (1912) is currently not the ONLY brakeman operated roller coaster in the world. The RUTSCHEBANEN (1914) at Tivoli in Copenhagen also operates brakeman carriages. Now I have since learned that the roller coaster at GREAT YARMOUTH PLEASURE BEACH, England also has brakeman operated carriages. (20 Nov, 2014) ... However, according to those sources of information I used in 2012, Melbourne's Scenic Railway (1912) was the only roller coaster operating with brakeman carriages at the time this video was published. So as far as I can ascertain, Melbourne's Scenic Railway has continually operated with brakeman carriages since 1912 (with intermittent closures for maintenance, upkeep etc.) ... So I think it more likely that Melbourne's Scenic Railway (1912) is the OLDEST roller coaster operating with brakeman carriages and whether or not it was the ONLY roller coaster operating with brakeman carriages in 2012 is still speculative; depending on whether or not the other two coasters were using brakeman carriages at that time. If so, my apologies if this part of the information used in my video is incorrect.
