In addition to his municipal leadership, Joseph made significant contributions through various councils and boards. Notably, he was the Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the Northeast Ohio Power Energy Council from 2000 to 2014, and Chairman of Northeast Ohio Public Energy, Inc. (NOPEC) until July 2018. His efforts in these roles were crucial in shaping energy policy and ensuring sustainable energy solutions for Northeast Ohio.
